Client Account Manager - Seattle ,Washington

Job Overview

Reporting to the VP, Client Development, the Account Manager will be based in Seattle,WA  and will be an integral part of a nationally-situated Client Services team, committed to earning our clients’ confidence and business.

 

You will be responsible for:

Collaborating with the account and delivery teams to define portfolio objectives and lead to help achieve those objectives
Owning and strengthening client relationships, and driving business growth through effective management of client expectations and achieving delight in surpassing their needs
Bringing an Analytical approach and your Analytics subject matter expertise (Digital Analytics, Advanced Analytics (Predictive Analytics), Data Visualization, and Data Management in the area of Sales, Marketing and Customer Management) to your clients and to project deliverables
Lead client discussions and help to formulate projects and approaches while working in collaboration with BMI Delivery teams to achieve quality output and superior margins
Translate client discussions and communications into effective project briefs, contact summaries, and status reports
Develop presentation materials, including the management of creative and content for a broad Marketing and Analytics audience ranging from executive to operational
Building strong insight-based rationale for recommendations to clients on the “what” and the “how” for analytics-driven engagements
Support other team members as appropriate in reaching overall team objectives
Collaborating with various client stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Technology, Analytics, and Strategy to co-create analytics goals and objectives
Represent Blueocean Market Intelligence’s leadership position with external community through participation in events (analysts, media, conferences), authoring, and speaking engagements

 

Essential Competencies:

Previous experience in an analytical role
Advanced oral written communication skills

Comfortable delivering formal and informal presentations
Attention to detail

Proficient in use of MS Suite, including PowerPoint for compelling presentations

 

Experience:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (and Master’s degree preferred) in statistics / econometrics / analytics / engineering / business administration.
Minimum with 6-10 years of experience in a field of Analytics in an Analytics, Business Intelligence role, or in the analytics division of a company.
Vendor and client experience preferred. Minimum four years with a vendor.
2 to 5 years of experience in technology, media, or CPG/Retail industry is preferable
Very strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills required for synthesis of data and interpretation of results
Exposure/Understanding of various data management and reporting toolkits such as SQLServer, Oracle, SSIS, Informatica, SSRS, Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikView, Cognos.
Understanding of Datamart concepts is preferred
Exposure/Understanding of various statistical tools like SPSS, SAS, R is preferred
Ability to think strategically and analytically
Ability to assess key client/business challenges that can be addressed through analytics, data, and visualization
Ability to interface well at all levels of the organization, partnering well across all geographies and functions
Strong client services skills
Experience of working with globally-situated diverse internal and client teams
